Oatmeal Croquettes

Croquetas de Aveba

  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1 cup of raw oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/2 cup of chopped parsley
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 150 g. of fresh cheese
  • Breadcrumbs
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Frying oil

First wet the oats for half an hour in the milk.
Once that time has elapsed, add the rest of the ingredients starting with the cheese. Mix well.
Make balls with the dough (the size you want to make the croquettes) and crush. Pass them through bread crumbs, egg and, again, bread crumbs. Fry in hot oil, let cool on absorbent paper.
